Assessing Online Resources

Demonstrates how to use advanced search features commonly found in web search engines that help limit the scope of the search. Also discusses methods to analyze the authority of sources and strategies for identifying new sources using search results. Provides good examples of the analytical skills associated with information literacy.  Originally created by Duncan Dixon (Trinity Western University) on June 19, 2009 using Adobe Captivate 3. Approximately 5:11 minutes. The Adobe Captivate source file and .swf file for the tutorial are available from the ANTS repository at the University of Calgary DSpace.
